Career Opportunities for General Medicine Graduates

 

With so many available career fields, Love to know Jobs is constantly expanding its coverage with different types of job opportunities. There are many career opportunities for health assistants. Health Assistants  are in demand in a variety of specialties and work settings both in community and hospitals.

About three out of every five health assistant jobs are in the inpatient and outpatient departments of hospitals. The remaining health assistant jobs are in:

  • Physicians' offices

  • Health care facilities

  • Employment services

  • Government agencies

  • Outpatient care centers

  • Social service agencies

  • Education - both public and private schools, colleges and universities

 

1)      About Proficiency Certificate Level  General Medicine (HA)

 

General medicine /Health Assistant is 3 years academic course official recognition by Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC) with aim to make competent health personnel in the comprehensive care of patients with a broad range of medical conditions and make the best use of knowledge in hospital as well as in community.

 

·          Program Objectives:   

 

Proficiency Certificate Level in General Medicine program aims to develop mid-level health professionals who can work in clinic, hospital and community.

 

·          Accreditation:

Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT)Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC)

 

·          Duration:  3 years

 

·          Eligibility:

 

ü  SLC Pass

ü  TSLC in Health sciences

 

 

 2. Entrance Examination :

 

  • After SLC Results CTEVT Public Advertisement in National Newspaper for filling the entrance form Date and Center for study in the programmed . (Usually in the month of July÷ August).

  • In Advertisement CTEVT mention the college Name which are in the good grade of CTEVT inspection report yearly.

  • According to Advertisement of CTEVT, Interest students can visit the college which they fell comfort and summit the form in their choice college. (Usually in the month of July÷ August).

  • CTEVT operate Entrance Exam, copy check and sent Results on the basic of merit to Concern College and give them guideline and time for admission.  (Usually in the month of August÷ September).
